What will I bedoing?

The Senior Planner leads regional strategies focused on employment initiatives, including 10-Week Reemployment, and other efforts designed to connect job seekers to employment as quickly as possible. The position monitors employment outcomes, identifies trends and performance gaps, strengthens employment-focused case management, and provides targeted technical assistance to service providers to improve reemployment outcomes.
The Senior Planner works closely with Recruiters, Program Operations, Business Services, Data Analytics, and service providers to translate data into action, identify customers requiring additional intervention, and implement targeted strategies that improve workforce attachment and accelerate customers' return to work.
  •  Provide operational oversight of employment initiatives and other strategies designed to connect job seekers to employment as quickly as possible.
  • Work closely with the Workforce Solutions system to implement employment strategies that strengthen customer engagement, employment-focused case management, job search assistance, and workforce attachment.
  • Analyze regional, provider, office, and customer-level employment data to identify trends, gaps, barriers, and opportunities for earlier intervention and improved reemployment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Recruiters and Business Consultants to develop targeted job matching, referral, interview, hiring event, and placement strategies for priority customer populations.
  • Strengthen employment-focused case management practices by evaluating customer engagement, employment planning, job search activities, follow-up, placement verification, and retention efforts.
  • Provide targeted technical assistance to service providers and staff to address performance gaps, strengthen reemployment strategies, and improve service delivery.
  • Develop and communicate operational and policy guidance that supports consistent implementation of reemployment initiatives and effective customer service across the Workforce Solutions system.
  • May coordinate and facilitate webinars, workgroups, and performance discussions with internal staff, service providers, and community partners to promote best practices and address operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Texas Workforce Commission on reemployment initiatives, program requirements, performance issues, policy updates, and strategies that support regional employment outcomes.


KeyQualifications  
  • Experience in workforce development, reemployment services, program operations, performance management, or continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of employment services, job placement strategies, case management, and workforce development programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify employment trends, evaluate performance gaps, and develop actionable strategies.
  • Experience working with Recruiters, Business Services, case management staff, and service providers to improve employment and reemployment outcomes.
  • Experience providing technical assistance and supporting operational or performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to interpret workforce data, labor market information, and program guidance and translate findings into operational strategies.
  • Strong organizational, project management, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting and data visualization tools.

Do you have…  
  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline orrelatedfield of study   
  • 5 years of experienceworking with local government, nonprofit programs, schools, or in job-related duties

Preferred
  • Five (5) years of experience in workforce development, reemployment services, program operations, performance management, local government, nonprofit programs, or related duties.
  • Experience analyzing performance and employment data and using findings to develop strategies that improve customer outcomes and workforce attachment.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple teams and external partners to implement workforce initiatives and achieve measurable results.
